Myrna Jamont, throughout her career, has worked in medicine, surgery, pediatrics and ICU. While employed at a long-term care facility, she became interested in the prevention of skin breakdown and treatment of wounds. In 2000, she completed the prescribed program of the University of Toronto International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course. Her position as Equipment and Standardization Nurse in the Saskatoon Health Region included educating staff on the use of all equipment and products available to prevent and treat wounds. As a consultant, she continues to educate as a Skin Care and Wound Management Facilitator/Educator.
