As one of the oldest organizations of its kind in the US, the Nebraska Writers Guild champions authors of all kinds, from poets to novelists to memoirists and other nonfiction authors. The NWG offers support and education and access to a community of like-minded peers for writers, whether they reside in Nebraska or not, through free classes for members, an annual conference that ranks among the top ten writer's conferences in the US, and other author events throughout the year.
The Voices from the Plains anthology series is just one of the amazing opportunities the NWG offers to its members to help them express their creativity and share it with the world.
In Words in the Wind, the sixth installment of the series, NWG members have offered up more poetry, fiction, and nonfiction that will keep readers turning the pages. The variety of genres and subjects means there's something for everyone within the over 500 pages of poetry, short stories, flash fiction, novel excerpts, memoirs, essays, and other nonfiction. There are even a few recipes!
The NWG hopes you enjoy reading Words in the Wind and invites you to learn more about the Nebraska Writers Guild. If you are, or someone you know is, an emerging or experienced writer looking for a supportive community, go to nebraskawriters.org (you don't have to live in Nebraska!) and check out the NWG.
