"Vignettes of Valor" is Jerry's third book of combat survivor stories. A fourth book is in the can. My disbelieving English teacher is smiling. Proceeds from Jerry's book sales are donated to PTSD treatment at New Freedom Farm, Buchannon, Virginia-and other veteran causes. A native Virginian, Jerry spent his college days in the Virginia Tech--Corps of Cadets, preparing for active duty as an Army Officer, and Civil Engineering career designing roads and bridges. Yet, the Army Corps of Engineers had other things in mind for Jerry, assigning him to the Public Affairs office with duties as a congressional, media and press officer, where he remained for much of his 38-year career----"Drat! I should have studied more in English class!" Jerry retired as Director of Operations, for the Army Corps, responsible for all Corps' water infrastructure in the US, directing a workforce of 24,000.
