Tuzagi, which means "trap" in Turkish, is graphic novel comprised of 6 interlocking short stories set in Gallipoli, specifically at Suvla Bay on August 12th, 1915, during World War I. The fate of the Sandringham Pals is the overall theme, but the individual stories explore notions of heroism, loss and return. The stories take on different genre forms, from an heroic last stand, to an individual's quest for redemption, to the loss of love, to a long and perilous return home, to a unwelcome return, to the loss of identity. Our main charaters confront Death in many different forms. And there are Homeric themes as told in the Iliad and the Odyssey, set in modern times, in modern war. All tales are told in an exciting graphic novel form, in thrilling, fast moving, original black & white sequential comic art. Some of the material is for mature audiences.
