Teeny Tiny Pieces was written by a mother and former special education teacher. When her daughter with Down Syndrome was about to begin Pre-Kindergarten she wanted to find the perfect book to help her classmates understand why she might be a little different than them. She bought numerous books only to discover they weren't what she was looking for or they weren't for the right audience. She started working on creating the book she was imagining. After being invited to participate in World Down Syndrome Day with her daughter's kindergarten class, Maria Dillon decided it was time to finish her book. It was so well received by the students, teachers, and the other classroom guests that she decided to share it with the world!

It is sure to become the go-to book for explaining Down Syndrome to kids!
