Mini Monkey is sad because the other monkeys tease him and won't play with him because he is such a small monkey.
One by one, Mini seeks out the larger animals in the forest to tell him how to grow bigger; first, the giraffe, then the hippo, and finally, the elephant. Mini is very sad when the large animals cannot tell him how to grow.
When there is a crisis in the forest, Mini's unique small monkey body is just what is needed, and he becomes a hero, and the other monkeys befriend him.
About the Author
Born in Iowa, Kirsten is a third culture kid who spent her childhood in Ethiopia, where her parents were missionaries, and her high school years in Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, majoring in English and Accounting. This is Kirsten's first children's book. She has also published a historical novel, Thy Father's Will. Kirsten is retired and lives on the north shore of Lake Superior with her husband and two dogs and enjoys photography, playing the piano, and hiking.
