It was the perfect crime. Two people have disappeared and the locals think they have stolen a car and run away together. Murder was never on their minds. An unlikely piece of evidence comes to the surface nearly ninety years later. Regular folks, aided by a disabled young man and a descendant of the killer, follow that evidence to solve the crime.
Set in northern Minnesota in the early 20th century the book follows the characters through WWI, the depression, prohibition, and the crime.
