From there, entire families of pimps have engrossed their million-dollar business across the national territory and much of the United States. Mexico's different administrations have done very little to dismantle these networks, suggesting corruption and collusion with those who exercise this sadistic trade. But some of these criminals have indeed fallen. In this thorough investigation, Juan Alberto Vzquez tells the story of five families of pimps who were judged in the New York courts--their violent beginnings, their methods to attract vulnerable women and children, their extorsions, their criminal psyche....
