"Priests of the Bible" (640 pp) is a sequel to the author's earlier book "Prophets of the Bible" where he reflected on the life, work and prophecies of the prophets found in the Bible (well-known, little-known and unrecognised). In his "Priests" book he attempts to do something similar concerning priests found in the Bible. After introducing the subject, including information concerning the book, the book is divided into three parts:

Part 1 (20 chapters) considers the priesthood and how priests of the Bible went about their duties (attempting to answer the who, what, when, why and where questions);

Part 2 (20 chapters) considers the lives and work of named priests;

Part 3 (20 chapters) considers what is entailed in being a priestly people, not just priests of the Bible but believer-priests today - those who follow Jesus.

This is followed by Part 4 (six chapters), which looks at kings of the Bible and while shorter than the Prophets and Priests descriptions covers similar ground, followed by six appendices relating to the themes found in the book.

The book contains several illustrations relating to the subject; it is meant both as a serious Bible study on subjects that are often neglected by Christian teachers, and provides a devotional perspective to encourage today's believer-priests.
