POINTERS in Proverbs is a collection of essays from Jim's 2000-to-present "blog" to a number of his West POINTER classmates (and others). Leaders and aspiring leaders along with anyone desiring to live life with excellence will find value in these essays, each of which explores insights drawn from the Bible book of Proverbs. What I really enjoy about "Pointers in Proverbs" is that so much of the wisdom imparted in that Bible book is so in line with the wisdom, values and ethics that the West Point experience sought to imbue in us. "Pointers" is also a good exercise in "self reflection" and reminds me where I have fallen short. Don Davis Retired Special Agent, FBI, Hamilton, Montana West Point Class of 1968 I've served in leadership positions for the past 30+ years in companies ranging from small businesses to multi-billion dollar, global entities. I've witnessed countless approaches to the riddle of effective leadership and read as many books. None of what I've witnessed nor experienced compares to the wisdom in Proverbs. And Jim Furr's Pointers in Proverbs has enlivened Proverbs for me, positively shaping my personal life and making me a better leader. Pointers in Proverbs should be on every professional's "must-read" list. Chris Monica President, Magno International, LP, Oxnard, California Jim Furr is a West Point graduate and former Army Captain.
