Macca in the Long Noughties reviews Paul McCartney's musical renaissance in the 2000s, when, at a time of personal challenges, he released some of his strongest and most innovative works: Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (2005); Memory Almost Full (2007) and Electric Arguments (2008).

The long noughties (1998-2009) was a period of unprecedented change in Paul's life, following the death of Linda in 1998, marriage (in 2002) and divorce (in 2008) from Heather Mills and the rediscovery of love with Nancy Shevell. Influenced by this rollercoaster of emotions, Paul released ten albums across diverse genres; performed 190 concerts before 3.7 million people between 2002-09, including standout shows at Moscow's Red Square, Glastonbury and Coachella; and campaigned on animal welfare and human rights and exhibited his talents as a painter and poet.

In 2007, Bob Dylan told Rolling Stone magazine: "I'm in awe of McCartney ... He can do it all. And he's never let up."

This book reviews the continuing creativity of Paul McCartney's as he entered his fifth decade as a musician. It covers album tracks, concert tours and one-off releases.
