You've seen this scene play out. Something goes amiss. A storm picks up unexpectedly, the boat rocks to and fro, one of the passengers gets thrown from the deck. The wind is unrelenting, the waves cause havoc and pull the disoriented passenger deeper and deeper beneath the churning waters.

Which way is UP?

Then, almost miraculously, the waters calm a bit, light streams like crystal fingers through the dark waters, showing a way out of the grave-like surroundings.

LOOKING UP is the only way to safety - to life!

So it is with those in this study of Luke.

Something in their lives was pulling them down, pulling them away from the light - Jesus Christ, the Light of Life.

Yet something truly miraculous happened when they LOOKED UP!

Joyce is a retired financial planner, who has spent over teaching youth, young adults, and women Biblical truths. This is her fourth study, he others being in Prayer, The Whole Armor of God and Ecclesiastes. She has spoken at numerous retreats, seminars and special events and is an approved speaker for Stonecroft Ministries (aka Christian Women's Clubs).

Joyce is a skier and a golfer and just generally enjoys being outdoors.

While growing up in the Pittsburgh area, she and her husband, Bryan, now call Florida home.
