For centuries Christians have been celebrating Advent (literally "arrival"). Advent begins fours Sundays prior to December 25, on the Sunday closest to November 30. Although there are four Sundays in Advent, there are not always four weeks. For that reason, this book includes devotionals for twenty-eight days to accommodate the reader on the years when there are four full weeks of Advent. In those years when there are less than four weeks in Advent, the reader can simply take in more than one devotional on some days.
