"It is my opinion that Hatlo is one of the greatest cartoonists the newspaper business has ever produced . . ." --Damon Runyon
Jimmy Hatlo was one of the most prolific and popular cartoonists from the late 1930s through the early 1960s, producing daily comic panels syndicated in newspapers across the country. He focused on the foibles and follies of everyday people, often taking inspiration from ideas sent to him by eager readers (who were thanked with 'A tip of the hat . . .').
Four collections of his cartoons are reprinted in this volume: The New Jimmy Hatlo Book, Another New Jimmy Hatlo Book, The Newest Jimmy Hatlo Cartoon Book, and Office Hi-Jinks.
