There really is some stuff you just can't make up. That doesn't mean you gotta go and blab it to the world but it ended up being something I felt like I wanted/needed/had to do in Insecure Delusion. This is definitely not your grandfather's addiction memoir! However, my particular Grand-Dad does get a little love in this twisted tome and it's probably just as well the old boy ain't around to read it. And while it might be a little less than flattering, Gramps would likely be cool with it in the end because it's funny as hell. That's why I told it. That's why I told a lot of the stories contained in Insecure Delusion. Some revealing working titles include "Exercise in Oversharing", "Invitation to the Lunatic Ball" and "Just A Girl Dad Doing The Best He Can." Anticipate a story within and throughout the larger narrative that is so dark, disturbing and unintentionally hilarious, that you most definitely will not believe that that can be real. Sadly, I bear the scars to back it up. Perhaps you are familiar with the old saying ..."In for a penny, in for a pound"? Well, dear and potential reader, I am here to assure you I went in for the whole pound. Perhaps to the point of "pound foolish" but it's all there for the taking. Good, bad and indifferent. Early on my friend Patrick advised me... "And in the end it is the work and process that matter. Write your little heart out and let it see where it lands." I feel I've effectively held up my part of the bargain in these pages and now Insecure Delusion is on its own. God speed. I'm otherwise obligated living, and loving, the "process."

"A very specific and original mix of terrifying and hilarious, these pages. Wow. On the one hand, a reader and person always wants to say 'I'm sorry all this happened to you' and at the same time it's always impressive and encouraging, hopeful when someone is able to recount it all with humor and style and resilience."
