In her debut book, Hupomone, Amber shares her story of God's faithfulness through adversity and hardship, and how overcoming it all thrusted her in to her purpose. She talks about how not dealing with her pain, after the untimely death of her best friend her senior year of high school, almost cost her her life. Thereafter, a failed attempt at suicide put her before a counselor, and everything began to change.
She began healing and becoming.
Initially, she attributed this journey as one that began in college but she later learned that much of it could be traced back to her childhood. That taught her that in order to know how you got to where you are today, and see where you are going, you have to go back to where life began.
Her hope for you is that as you turn the pages of her story, you are able to identify with her and see your story. Because all of that which you have experienced is all designed to lead you to your God-sized purpose. May you be challenged to see that only good can from all of that you have experienced, if you let it. Because while we are shaped by our own individual journey's, we too get to decide how we transform and embrace our becoming!
Hupomone says, I don't understand why this is happening to me but I know that life isn't meant to kill me, but rather build me, and if I can just hold on and go through this storm, I just might learn everything I need for the person I'm becoming.
