This is a study of the great Italian Renaissance painter Fra Filippo Lippi (1406-1469). He is best-known for his lyrical images of the Virgin and Child; his art has affinities with Angelico and Massacio. He was the father of the painter Filippino Lippi. The book features discussions of Lippi's famous works, as well as a biography of the artist.
