Fallen Freaks is about eight kids sentenced to a probation camp over the summer. It is set in the future with a twist; they all have supernatural powers. The camp they attend is specifically for kids that used their powers to break the law. Each character has their own point-of-view in which they discuss their incidents, family-lives, crisises, and more.
In this book, while trying to understand and contain their powers, they create friendships, rivalries, and crushes. Several times they are pushed into pressing situations, including dorming with uncontrollable individuals.
It touches several rough topics including; anxiety, suicide, same-sex attraction, and racial set-backs. Though overall this book is about kids coming together to form strong bonds and survive the supernatural situations that come up.
