Serial mischief-maker Max Parker is in big trouble - again. But this time the stakes are higher than ever. With a new headmaster in school firing teachers left, right and centre and his own teacher, The Headhunter, on the warpath again, Max knows that if he bombs in the assembly tomorrow (which he probably will as he hasn't prepared a thing), she'll get fired and he'll be kicked out of school.
And he can't let that happen.
In a desperate attempt to save himself, Max embarks on a covert mission across town to see his eccentric Uncle. But what starts as a simple request quickly spirals into a problem of prehistoric proportions, and Max finds himself stranded millions of years ago in the middle of a tropical jungle with only his underpants, a pair of sunglasses and the world's smallest pen knife for protection - which isn't much use against boy-munching monsters or fiery comets. Or the terrifying Mutant-Peacock-Bird-Thing. . .
Getting expelled is now the least of Max's worries. If he doesn't find a way back to the future in time, he'll be erased from history forever.
