In an old newspaper, eleven year olds Eddie McDonald and Iggy Silver read about the discovery of a body in the home of a complete stranger.
The boys decide to investigate the unsolved murder. Along the way, they will annoy the police, a private detective, and their parents. They will encounter a secret religious organization, be shot at, kidnapped, and witness a second murder.
It's all a bit much for two boys to handle...
