Moving to Mexico in 06 was easy; it was leaving eight years later that was difficult. Before retiring, everyone looks for Paradise, but who really finds it? Ron and Ella Jackson did. They found it in a little 500-year-old Mexican village called Ajijic and expected to live there the rest of their lives. They were passionately in love with their little village, the Mexican people, their customs and their lifestyle. Sadly though, love and passion alone were not enough to overcome the unanticipated circumstances which were forcing them to leave Mexico. While saying their goodbyes to their many Mexican, Canadian and American friends, they knew they were also saying goodbye to a country and lifestyle they had come to love.It wasn't until they had been living in Florida for almost six months, that Ron learned that living in Mexico had consequences, consequences he felt the world should know, and as a result, penned the book, "Don't Retire in Mexico."
