Growing up in a military family, I moved around a lot. During elementary school, I never finished the year at the same place. I found myself always struggling in school and always having to meet new friends. I was very shy, timid, and never felt good enough. My family life was the true definition of "dysfunctional." I am the only child of a recovering alcoholic. My mother worked two jobs and went to college to provide a better life for me. I have seen domestic violence firsthand. To this day, if someone raises their voice to me, I get defensive and feel fear in my chest. All during my life, God has let me know that HE was there for me. I would cry and pray as a child that God would deliver my family, and especially my dad. I can tell you this: HE may not come when you think HE should, but God will come! When I tell you that my father is delivered from alcohol, he is delivered. I speak to my dad every morning and he prays for me daily. I want readers to know that there isn't anything too hard for God. This resource book will inspire you and build your own faith in God. I know God to be a healer, provider, father, and anything else you need HIM to be. My prayer is that in your deepest times of despair you can turn to this resource as a comfort, knowing that Jesus is in control. Please remember the scripture that "God will never leave you, or forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)
