Buckley and Bogey, cat detectives, take on their most colorful case yet! It all happens out of the blue, when they learn that some very old and very famous paintings will be coming to the small St. Gertrude Art Museum. As part of a traveling exhibit. Naturally, the artist of those paintings, a lady named Arabella LaBleu, had chosen the most beautiful subjects she could think of-cats, of course! And soon, the impending arrival of those priceless paintings means the whole town has been bitten by the art bug. Which, it turns out, isn't really a bug at all. But while everyone else is looking at art, Bogey is busy looking at the big picture, and he sees some red flags right away. He is just sure some shadowy thief is planning to steal those valuable paintings. So together, Buckley and Bogey set out to stop an art heist . . . before it even happens. Holy Catnip!
Of course, their human sister, Gracie, is tickled pink about the upcoming art exhibit. Especially when she has to paint her own collection for a school project. But when Gracie finds some old frames at their Mom's antique store to use for her paintings, well, things take a surprising turn . . . From a white tie reception to a mysterious art collector, and from an urgent message to an unexpected visitor, this is one mystery that has Buckley and Bogey running in circles. Art circles, that is. And they soon learn that this case is as perilous as the Arabella LaBleu paintings are pretty. Because, as they find out in a hurry, they are dealing with a very shady crook. One who has turned danger into an art form . . . Holy Mackerel!
