My children's book is about "Captain Troy", a little boy who becomes tired of living at home with his family which consists of a brother, the pet turkey "Nugget", and a pet turkey, "Wallace." He also has parents, a brother, and two older sisters. One sister just moved away from home to attend college in another city. The home is small and frustrations are high for such a boy that feels life would be better if he found another home. As Captain Troy sails around the county, he sees interesting places like the big city with skyscrapers, a country church, a volcano spouting hot lava, and a pier with a red kite that reminds him of home. He eventually gets homesick and sails back to Monterey Bay. He wonders if he has been replaced by another little boy who could be sleeping in his room or playing with his toys and pets. To his relief, all is well, and Captain discovers that regardless of his frustrations with family life, he prefers home to any other place.
