Selkie Maura Muir makes it to the Long Island shore more dead than alive. She fears the handsome human who finds and rescues her. Her mother, grandmother, and aunts drummed stories into Maura and her sisters that human men would keep Selkies as slaves and treat them badly. But something about this human attracted her, and it wasn't long before she was feeling better and gaining feelings and desire for Rory. Were those feelings strong enough to give up her seal life and remain a human?
Rory didn't know what to think when he and his dog, Skipper, found Maura on the beach, ill and with what he thought was seal cosplay draped over her. He took her to his home to nurse her back to health. There was an undeniable attraction to this odd and beautiful woman, who he was shocked to learn was a Selkie. He struggled with his growing feelings and attraction to Maura and wondered if she would choose to stay with him or return forever to the sea.
Maura and Rory explore what it means to be human. They find love and passion fielding the challenges between a creature of the sea and a human.
