The Antichrist will be an Assyrian. From the vision of Balaam in Numbers, to Psalm 83, to the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Zechariah, and others, the Bible gives one clear message-the Antichrist will be an Assyrian who rules over an Assyrian kingdom. The current trend away from a "Roman Prince" to a "Muslim" Antichrist appears to be based on current news reports and human reasoning, and not on Biblical facts. This book shows from the Holy Scriptures that the Antichrist will be an Assyrian from a revived Assyrian Empire. Recent developments in the Middle East, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and with the Arab League, the United Nations, and the "Quartet" are all in accord with an Assyrian Antichrist, and this book shows how this will all end. The book is written for the general reader who wants to understand the times in which we live and to learn about the Antichrist, the false prophet, the battle of Armageddon, the great tribulation, and the last days. The student of prophecy will find numerous Biblical references that he can read to verify every word. Roy Elmhorst grew up on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin. After serving in the US Air Force, he went to the University of Wisconsin and in 1963 he received a BS in Civil Engineering. His professional career was first in the oil and paper industries, and then for twenty-seven years he was the city engineer for the city of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He has been a member in Baptist churches for over forty years where he has served as a deacon and taught Sunday school Bible classes on prophecy. In the 1970s he became interested in prophecy when he read Hal Lindsey's book The Late Great Planet Earth, and he learned the fundamentals of eschatology from Things to Come by W. Dwight Pentecost. He had questioned the "Roman" prince as being the Antichrist for many years and in recent times he has had concerns about the shift to a "Muslim" Antichrist, and this caused him to write this book. Roy is happily married to his wife of fifty-seven years and enjoys his four married children and their families, and his hobby farm.
