Book 1: 100 Love Sonnets is a collection of one hundred sonnets written by Chilean poet Pablo Neruda and was published first in 1959 in Spanish. The poems are dedicated to his third wife Matilde Urrutia. In the book poems are kept in four sections - Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. Though the sonnets have been translated by various translators, the translation work done by MIT Professor and translator Stephen Tapscott is widely acclaimed.
Book 2: Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair is a collection of romantic poems by Pablo Neruda, first published in 1924 when Neruda was 19. It was Neruda's second published work and made his name as a poet. It's Neruda's best-known work, and has sold more than 20 million copies. It remains the best- selling poetry book in the Spanish language ever, almost 100 years after its first publication.
