Leimomi Oakes wanted a job that mattered, so she majored in international relations at a US university. But on the side, as a ‘minor’ subject, she took up classes in Art History with a focus on fashion, theatre, and costume design. And, needing a job while studying on campus, she found herself working in a costume shop.
