THE PATH OF BLISS

Alan Parry worked as a commercial artist in London before leaving city life to paint and illustrate books from the country. Today he lives in a small village not far from Stratfordupon-Avon, his house standing alone down a leafy lane. The countryside influences Parry’s work enormously. “Most of my paintings are based on reality with creative input to enliven the subject matter,” he says. “I generally paint all day, which allows me to immerse myself in my subject.” Parry’s work can be viewed on the following pages.…
