July is when the best of British berries and stone fruits are ripe for the picking. From raspberries and strawberries to peaches, apricots and cherries, they’re all at their sweetest and most flavourful.
If you’re after the freshest possible produce but don’t grow your own, treat yourself to a day of picking at a local PYO farm. Take a reusable bag along and pick what and how much you fancy, and you’ll be happy to learn prices are usually far friendly than at supermarkets.
