Heatwaves don’t suit me. Aged 17, I was obsessed with St Tropez style, so one of my friends and I decided to go there on holiday. Well, nearly there. We actually stayed in a campsite up the road. I wanted sun-kissed skin, but as a pale, rosy-cheeked Scot I didn’t do well in hotter climes.
