Given the brand’s origins, there’s an American theme to many of the options on offer; our highlights include S’more Music, Tailgater, Workout Warrior, Thumper and, our particular favo(u)rite, Porta Party. Still, we mustn’t get distracted from the really important stuff. Like how good it is. The Bose SoundLink Max is a ruggedised, rubberised rectangle of a wireless speaker. It is perhaps more practical than envelope-pushing on design, but there’s something to be said for its simple, understated appearance.
