Ons is gewoonlik ’n groep van tien mense en hierdie keer het ons by die Sethora Game Lodge in die Mashatu-wildreservaat gebly. Ons het op ’n laatmiddagwildrit gegaan en toe ’n jagluiperdwyfie en haar welpies ’n rukkie lank gevolg. Die ma het in ’n stadium gaan lê om te rus terwyl die kleingoed in die bome geklim en gespeel het. Daar was heelwat ander diere in die ronde, maar niks om te vreet nie – of só het ons gedink. Een van die welpies het skielik opgespring 1 en ’n sebra wat sowat 300 m verder gewei het, begin jaag. Die trop sebras het in alle rigtings gespat, met die jong…
