Hoe het jy ’n illustreerder geword? Toe ek en my man, Mark, in 2011 die knoop deurhak, het ek byna alles vir ons troue met die hand gemaak. Ek het papiersterre vir die konfetti gevou, papierblomme gemaak, die uitnodigings geïllustreer en selfs geskenkies vir die gaste gemaak. Nie lank daarna nie het Mark ’n stalletjie by die Oude Libertas-mark op Stellenbosch bespreek en my produkte het verbasend goed verkoop. Later het mense my genader om portrette te teken en winkeleienaars het kaartjies en illustrasies bestel. Ek het in 2016 my eerste kontrak as boekillustreerder gekry – dit was om die sketse vir Refiloe Moahloli se kinderboek How Many Ways Can You Say Hello? te teken.
