ROAD TRIP Regular readers will have spotted a few occasions where I’ve borrowed a camper from the VW press office and taken it to some far-flung destination. OK, it’s usually not very far-flung, but this beautiful and much-maligned country of ours still has a lot to offer in terms of wonderful scenery and exciting places to visit. Especially if you have a home on wheels and can take things at a more relaxed pace, rather than having to race to a destination for an overnight stop at a hotel. The idea for this trip was borne out of, firstly, the fact my other half, Jo, was overseas with work and I wanted to get away somewhere with the dog for a change of scenery.
