Roer die rys by en braai tot al die korrels begin kleur kry. Voeg die chakalaka en kookwater by, gevolg deur die spinasie. Top met die skywe varkvleis en sit die deksel op. Draai die hitte tot laag en laat stoom tot die rys en vleis gaar is; vul die vloeistof aan soos nodig.
