The Big One I'm Captain Mike, Defending Champion of the Lake Texoma Striper Challenge. In 2022 competing against the best fishermen and guides on this lake, we won the event with the biggest five striper caught, by weight. We also caught the biggest and second biggest fish of the day. I run a fishing guide service on Lake Texoma called BigFishTexoma.com. My boathouse is in Catfish Bay, which is nestled inside Oklahoma State Park, in Kingston, Ok. These stories recall just a few of the exciting moments, and a few of the bigger fish we have boated here. In these stories, I tell you what baits and lures we used for each specific outing, as well as talk about methods, best practices, and sometimes "what not to do," all in the context of targeting and catching Trophy Class fish. I have hundreds of fishing tales, from bodies of water all over the country, but Lake Texoma is where I fish the most, and there will be a few more collections made of stories from this magical lake. And just as many about other locations. Dozens of short stories are coming for Kindle. They will be grouped by location, tactic, species and put in collections like this one, and made available for paperback and Kindle. Forthcoming Collections:
-Bull Reds, Sharks, and Oil Rig Snapper from Galveston and Surf Side, Tx.
-Grouper, Cobia, Mackerel, and Amber Jacks from Destin, Fla.
-Marlin, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and the one that got away from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
-Sharks, Sharks, Sharks! my father's obsession leads to trips all over the place to catch sharks on light tackle.
