LIFE AS MYSELF, COMPLICATIONS, AND GOING OUT!

Wow, it’s been quite a while since I’ve written an article for the TransLiving magazine (I have previously done two) so I think it’s about time to reintroduce myself! I’m Janet Simone-Henrietta Johnson a currently non-op transsexual or trans woman. Getting to where I want to be in life is still a challenge. My family (Mum, Sister, Brother, Nieces, Brother-in-law) and general people I encounter in everyday life either know I’m a woman and don’t want to see it, or it makes them feel uncomfortable and they don’t want me to be female. I feel that I’m being swayed away from appointments by my family because they don’t want me to have hormone replacement therapy and the long road to surgery, so, I still live as male, but only to…
