KEY FACTS This is the third in our current series of guides shining a spotlight on some of the UK’s finest mountain ridge adventures. But while our previous two (Ben Lomond’s Ptarmigan Ridge and the western side of the Kentmere Horseshoe) have been primarily walking focused, now we’re upping the technicality by a level or two and clambering headlong into scrambling territory. Bristly Ridge isn’t north Wales’s longest ridge, but the entertainment it packs in rivals any other in terms of thrills per metre. This is partly because of its technicality.
