Scandale Round

What should this excellent horseshoe walk be called? There doesn’t seem to be much consensus in the hillwalking community. Bill Birkett, in his iconic Complete Lakeland Fells book, calls it the ‘Hartsop Round’. Several websites name it the ‘Scandale Round’, presumably because the route centres on the high col of Scandale Pass - but, to be pedantic and technical, a true Scandale Round should start in Ambleside and complete a high-level loop of Scandale Beck. Perhaps instead this walk should be known as the Caiston Round? The route forms a perfect ridgeline loop of Caiston Glen, but this name has never been adopted.
