Keswick to Skiddaw House

DAY 1 1 NY266234 Start at Moot Hall, Keswick, the famous starting point for the Bob Graham Round. We’re not doing that route, but we do follow a lot of it in places, beginning with a walk up the hill to a street corner and turn left towards the river. Cross the bridge and follow the marked footpath which is the Cumbria Way. This follows a road left and then onto a waymarked track right towards the busy A66. Go over this, then skirt through some woodland ascending to Ewe How, where there is a sharp left then right. At this point leave the track heading right on another track for 50m, then take a faint path left through steep woodland (avoid this area if wet) onto the moorland that holds…
