ERYRI (SNOWDONIA) Rhinog Fawr The Rhinogydd range represents some of the roughest mountain territory in north Wales. Of the two peaks that give the range its name, Rhinog Fawr (720m) is the biggest, outsizing sibling Rhinog Fach (712m) by just 8m, or a little under four Richard Osmans. It’s not the summit of the Rhinogydd though. That accolade goes to Y Llethr (756m). In fact, Rhinog Fawr isn’t even the second highest; Diffwys (750m) is runner-up in the height stakes. But, proving that size isn’t everything, Rhinog Fawr outperforms both of those higher peaks in terms of location and aesthetics.
