Together they present the varied facets of living in this region of the globe - pleasure, pain, calamity, comedy, fun, misfortune, loss, triumph - indeed, as in any part of the world, of being human. Most have been published previously, in magazines, newspapers, anthologies, and broadcast on radio. Several have won or been placed in short story competitions.
