"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." Romans 15:4 The Bible is filled with historical accounts that teach Godly truths that we can apply to our lives. The book of Joshua is one of those accounts. In it, we see the children of Israel cross the Jordan River and enter the promised land. There, they encounter battles, subterfuge, and great victories and defeats. They learn some hard lessons, and we can learn the same lessons. By looking at the history of that generation, we can learn principles that apply to our Christian lives. From them, we can learn how to live an abundant life filled with victory over the flesh, world, and devil. With God on our side, we have the majority, the victory, and the abundant life. Therefore, choose life.
