Volcano in Hawaii erupts again

On February 11, a volcano located on the southern shore of Hawaii’s Big Island began erupting for the ninth time since December 2024. The Kilauea volcano, one of the most active in the world, spewed lava for more than 22 hours. Some of the lava reached heights of more than 300 feet in the air, but it didn’t threaten nearby communities. Officials said the volcano is likely to erupt again but couldn’t predict when that might happen.…
