LACROSSE The Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL), which has four teams, made its debut at the 2025 PLL (Professional Lacrosse League) Championship Series tournament, which began on February 11. In the final on February 17, the Boston Guard beat the New York Charging, 22–17, to win the league’s first title. On the men’s side, the Boston Cannons beat the Utah Archers, 21–14, on February 16 to win the PLL title. PRO BASKETBALL During the NBA All-Star Weekend, the Orlando Magic’s Mac McClung won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on February 15 for a historic third time in a row. COLLEGE BASEBALL In an extremely high-scoring game on February 16, the University of Rhode Island defeated the College of William & Mary, 36–22.
