Restaurants in the US have been struggling to fill positions for cooks and servers, so they have started turning to sophisticated robots to replace humans. Robots in kitchens make burgers and salads while others work out front. Some robo-servers greet customers and show them to their table while humans take people’s orders. Other robots take the orders themselves. And in many cases, humans load plates on and off a robot that moves to and from the kitchen.
