Providing birthday fun for others

“At my school, I am part of the Equity and Inclusion Board, and we are doing a volunteer project for Black History Month. Martin Luther King inspired us to do service. We invited students to make birthday boxes (filled with goodies such as cake mix, balloons, toys, and birthday cards) and then decorate the boxes! Over 200 boxes were delivered to a shelter for disadvantaged children and families in Queens in New York City. Now many children will have a nice birthday when they open up a special box with surprises.” Have you done something interesting or raised money for a cause you care about?
