NBA and WNBA champions

On June 16, the Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics to become the 2022 National Basketball Association (NBA) champions. This was the team’s fourth title in eight seasons and the first time Warriors guard Stephen Curry was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). On September 18, the Las Vegas Aces won their first Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) championship. They beat the Connecticut Sun.
