Canada “Super pigs” heading south Wild pigs that are a nationwide pest in Canada are heading toward the US. The so-called “super pigs,” a cross between domestic pigs and wild boars, were once contained to farms but were let go or escaped 30 years ago. They have spread in Canada, destroying plants and harming native animals. The pigs are close to crossing the US border, and experts worry they will cause damage in northern states.
